Greenland and the Great Divide

The Eagle, the Wilderness, and America’s Prophetic Responsibility

World events are rarely isolated. History, when viewed through Scripture, unfolds in patterns—often long before the world recognizes their meaning. Greenland’s sudden geopolitical relevance, America’s renewed emphasis on faith and sovereignty, and the escalating persecution of Christians and Jews worldwide may not be disconnected developments. Together, they point toward what Scripture describes as a great divide forming in the last days.

This article approaches these events through a biblical, prophetic lens, rooted in the conviction that God remains sovereign over nations and that prophecy is given not to satisfy curiosity, but to preserve life, faith, and truth.

The Two Wings of the Great Eagle: A Coherent Interpretation

In the context of Revelation 12, the imagery of the woman being carried by “the two wings of a great eagle” into the wilderness is precise, purposeful, and historically grounded. Scripture does not present vague symbolism here; it presents a means of escape, speed, and protection during a defined period of global persecution.

Among all nations in the natural world today, no symbol aligns more directly with the eagle than the United States of America. The American national seal explicitly depicts an eagle with outstretched wings, representing protection, authority, and reach. No other modern power—political, military, or symbolic—fits this imagery with comparable clarity.

"Two Wings of a Great Eagle?"

While alternative interpretations exist, they remain abstract. By contrast, the American eagle interpretation is concrete, visible, and historically consistent, particularly when viewed alongside America’s long-standing role as a refuge for persecuted peoples—especially Jews and Christians.

The Coming Global Persecution Is Not Theoretical

Scripture warns that the final phase of history will involve unprecedented persecution, driven by a global leader animated by satanic deception (Revelation 13; Daniel’s fourth beast). This persecution is not symbolic—it is physical, ideological, and systemic.

Genocide of Christian in Nigeria, 2021

We are already witnessing its early stages:

  • Nigeria: Thousands of Christians slaughtered by jihadist groups, entire villages erased, churches burned, believers targeted explicitly for their faith.

  • Middle East: Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian-backed proxies openly call for the destruction of Israel and the eradication of biblical faith.

  • Africa (Sudan, Sahel): Ethnic and religious cleansing increasingly targets Christian populations.

  • China: Surveillance, church demolitions, arrests, and ideological “re-education.”

  • India: Growing legal and social pressure against Christian preaching and conversion.

These are not isolated incidents. They are patterns—foreshadowing what Scripture describes as a future global holocaust against those who refuse to conform.

God’s Pattern: Warning Before Catastrophe

Biblical prophecy consistently serves one primary purpose: preservation.

  • Noah was warned before the flood.

  • Believers were warned before Jerusalem’s destruction.

  • The faithful are warned again before the Great Tribulation.

This does not negate martyrdom—Scripture is clear that many will suffer. But it does affirm that God always provides a way of escape for those who discern the times.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
And again, a blessing is promised to those who read, hear, and understand prophetic revelation.

Knowledge, in this context, is not fear—it is preparation.

America, Repentance, and National Strength

Nations rise and fall based not only on economics or military strength, but on moral alignment. Scripture teaches that when a people humble themselves, turn from wickedness, and seek God, healing follows.

For years, America drifted into moral confusion—celebrating ideologies openly hostile to God, ridiculed even by weaker nations. Yet in recent years, a dramatic shift occurred. Under conservative leadership emphasizing faith, national identity, and resistance to ideological coercion, America’s posture changed.

No leader is flawless. But history shows that God often uses imperfect rulers who nonetheless honor biblical principles to restrain evil and preserve space for righteousness.

When God is lifted up, strength follows—not for domination, but for responsibility.

USCIRF and America’s Protective Infrastructure

America has not merely spoken about religious freedom—it has institutionalized it.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) exists specifically to monitor, expose, and respond to persecution of religious minorities worldwide, with particular attention to Christians and Jews, who remain the most persecuted groups globally.

In recent years, its findings have been acted upon more assertively than ever before—through sanctions, asylum pathways, diplomatic pressure, and global advocacy.

This matters prophetically.

If the interpretation of Revelation 12 is correct, then such mechanisms are not accidental. They are early infrastructure for a future moment of mass displacement and refuge.

Regardless of who occupies the presidency during the Antichrist’s rise, these systems may already be in place for a divinely appointed purpose.

Greenland: The Strategic Wilderness

Greenland’s importance is not about conquest, but positioning.

It offers:

  • Arctic dominance

  • Early-warning defense

  • Strategic distance from dense population centers

  • Control over northern access routes

From a prophetic perspective, Greenland resembles a wilderness buffer—remote, defensible, and strategically invaluable in a world moving toward centralized power.

As globalist ambitions expand—whether from China, future Russian leadership, or ideologically driven regimes hostile to Israel and Christianity—America’s ability to protect requires space, reach, and deterrence, not merely diplomacy.

This does not necessitate annexation rhetoric. It underscores preparedness.

Protector, Not Empire

This framework does not argue that America is the Kingdom of God. Scripture is clear: Christ alone establishes that Kingdom.

Rather, America may function as a temporary restraining force—a shield, not a savior. A place of refuge, not final redemption.

Even alliances across the Americas or expanded defensive presence should be understood not as imperial ambition, but as containment of chaos during a time Scripture describes as uniquely lawless.

The Great Divide Is Now

The world is dividing rapidly:

  • Centralized control vs. conscience

  • Global coercion vs. faith obedience

  • Ideological uniformity vs. biblical truth

Greenland is not just ice. America is not just politics. These are pieces on a prophetic board moving toward an appointed hour.

God has always warned before judgment. He has always preserved a remnant. And He has always used nations—willing or not—to accomplish His purposes.

The wings of the eagle may not look spiritual.
The wilderness may not look safe.

But Scripture and history agree on this:
When God makes a way of escape, it often appears in unlikely forms.
